No Delay

No Delay

No Delay Galatians 4:4 is a tremendous reminder that God has a plan and that He is all about fulfilling that plan. Listen to these exciting words, “But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth His Son”. When God knew it was the perfect time. When God had arranged everything so that it was now time for Jesus to come. When God, in his patience, had waited for the law to reveal to man his utter desperation without God...then He sent His Son. Nothing in history was happening randomly but God was working his plan. It was now time for him to fulfill his promises to Abraham and David and so he sent forth his Son. I love that word “forth”. This was no passive mission. This was a very aggressive mission to conquer sin and to set God’s chosen free.

Listen to Habakkuk 2:3, “For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end-it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.” God is not only working his plan for the entire world but He is also working His plan for your life. There is not one promise that He was given you that He will not keep. In fact, those promises are hastening until their time of fulfillment in your life. They may seem like they are slow in coming but we can be assured that they will come. Just like Jesus came right at the right time. We can bet our lives on the truth that God will keep his promises. Do not fall into the trap of the evil one and begin to believe that God is telling a lie. Although the fulfillment of his promises may seem slow, they will come. Don’t you just love that last line, “it will not delay”. We might have the best intentions in the world. We may make something the highest priority in the world. We may plan our whole life around the fulfillment of a promise that we have made. And still, when it comes time to fulfill that promise we may find that some things outside our control will delay our fulfillment of that promise. God, who is in control of all things, is never delayed. If His promise is unfulfilled today, then it was meant to be fulfilled at a later date. In His great wisdom and love He knows that a later date will bring Him more glory and will do more to conform you to the image of His Son.

Waiting on a promise from God to be fulfilled in your life? Be assured. When the time is exactly right. When the fullness of time comes in your life...God will keep His word. He always does.
